Paul Stephens returned an excellent score of one over Par 73-6-67 to win A Grade at last Saturday’s Stroke event. Runner up by count back was Nick Lillie 78-10-68 from Jack Kerr and Peter Skene.

Winner of B Grade was Andrew Narik 89-16-73 by count back from Tony Nichols 90-17-73.

The day also included the Medal of Medalist event which was also won by Paul Stephens.

Last Thursday’s nine hole competition was also a Stroke event where Simon Baker returned a fantastic score of two under card 34, nett 301⁄2 to win ahead of Ray Jackson with a nett 32.

Matt Sinnott returned an excellent score of 82-17-65 to win the Monthly Medal and privilege pot at last Saturday’s stroke event at the Camperdown Golf Club. Matt’s win was his first Monthly Medal with the runner up in B Grade being Dale Evans on 91-24-67 by countback from Norm Tonks and John O’Donohue.

In A Grade David Absolom continued his good form with 79-10-69 ahead of Algie White 79-9-70. Algie claimed runner up prize following a four way countback including Darren Fox, Col Keane and Tom Moran.

Longest putt on the 18th was Gary Lafferty. Birdie hole was the 4th where Tom Moran and Darren Fox scored birdies, and Tom Moran also won the putting comp with 25 putts.

Given the excellent scores, golfers needed a nett 70 or less to receive a ball down the line: Matt Sinnott 65, Dale Evans, Norm Tonks, John O’Donohue 67, Jeff Collins 68, David Absolom 69,Col Keane, Algie White, Darren Fox, Tom Moran, Keith Stephens 70.

Another excellent field played in Thursday’s nine hole Par event with Leigh van den Berghe returning a fantastic score of +6 to win the night ahead of Matt Sinnott on +3.

This Saturday’s event is a Stableford competition.
