From The Tee – 17/06/17

Rick Carr took advantage of good course conditions to win last weekends Stableford event at the Camperdown Golf Club with 42 points. Runner up was Ray Jackson on 38.

The day also included the annual President v Captain event, with once again the President’s team proving too strong. Members on the President’s team received a ball down the line.

A good field also competed in last Thursday’s nine hole Stableford event, with Richard Narik winning on 21 points from Dale Evans on 20.

This Saturday’s event is also a Stableford competition.

Jack Kerr returned one of the best scores ever recorded at the Camperdown Golf Club with a 5 under the card 67 to comfortably win last Saturday’s Par event. Jack’s score of +10 included an Eagle of the 13th and a number of birdies including this week’s Birdie hole the 6th.
Runner up on the day was Ricky Bailey with +3.

This week is a Stableford competition with all members who play on the day qualifying for the G.G Errey winter singles event. The club is also introducing an official 9am Tee-off time for any members who wish to play early on Saturday mornings.

Richard Narik took out the June Monthly Medal and privilege pot at last Saturday’s 18 hole Stroke event. Richard returned 86-17-69 winning B Grade ahead of Aaron Sinnott on 90-20-70. Winner of A Grade was Jack Kerr with 78-7-71 from Mark Kent 84-12-72. 

The day also incorporated a putting competition and the longest put on the 18 green, with Richard Narik showing good form to win both competitions.

Last Thursday’s nine hole competition was also a Stroke event with the winner, Mark Clissold on nett 30 and the runner up, Daniel Beard nett 32 ½ both visitors.
Ryan Casey received a ball down the line, and Col Keane was nearest to the pin on the 17th.

This week’s competition is a Par event.

There were perfect weather conditions for golf at last Saturday’s Stableford event at the Camperdown Golf Club.

Algie White was the winner of A Grade with a fantastic score of 44 points, from Tom Moran on 43. Both Algie and Tom parred the course.

The B Grade winner on 39 points was a guest from Terang, Craig Longmore in a four way count back from Tony Cronin, Rick Carr and Andrew Benallack all on 39 Stableford points.

Beautiful weather and great course conditions where available at last Saturday’s 18 hole Stableford event. Winner on the was Peter Skene with 41 points from Keith Baker on 40.

The Birdie hole this week was the 1st, where Tom Moran managed a Birdie.

Peter Skene and Keith Baker were also in good form at last Thursday’s nine hole Stableford event returning 20 and 19 points respectively. Peter was also the nearest to the pin on the 2nd.

Members are reminded of the upcoming 4 person Ambrose event as part of the Robert Burns festival, and to arrange a team.

This week’s event is the May Monthly Medal and privilege pot.

The Camperdown golf course continues to produce fantastic scores with Liam Lafferty returning a two under the card score to take out A Grade at last Saturday’s Stableford event. Liam finished with 45 points, one ahead of Ian Henderson and Jack Kerr on 44.
B Grade winner was Neville Swayn with 43 points from Rick Bailey on 41.

Andrew Benallack showed great form to return an amazing Par score of +10 to take out B Grade at last Saturday’s event. Runner up also with a great score was Richard Narik with +7.

Scores were also very competitive in A Grade with Simon Baker winning on count back from Bernie Sinnott, both with + 6.

The Birdie hole was the 16th with Alan Fraser, Keith Baker and Dale Evans managing a birdie.

To receive a ball down the line required a score of +5 or better, Andrew Benallack +10, Richard Narik +7, Simon Baker, Bernie Sinnott +6, Keith Baker, Alan Fraser, Peter Hughes +5.

At last Thursday’s nine hole competition Alan Fraser won with 22 Stableford points, which also included an Eagle on the 11th hole. Runner up by count back was Nick Lillie with 21 points from Brian Fitzgerald also on 21.

Fantastic course conditions produced outstanding scores at last Saturday’s Monthly Medal event.

Winner of B Grade and the Monthly Medal and privilege pot was Tom Clissold with the excellent score of 79-16-63. Runners up was Andrew Benallack with 87/21/66.

In A Grade the scores were also very competitive with Gary Lafferty 78/13/65 winning from Paul Stephens 74/8/66.

The Birdie hole was the 15th where Paul Stephens managed a Birdie.

To score a Ball down the line a nett score of 68 or less was required: Tom Clissold 63, Gary Lafferty 65, Paul Stephens, Tom Moran, Andrew Benallack 66, Matt Sinnott, Ray Jackson 67, Richard Narik, Rick Bailey, Peter Hughes 68.

Last week’s nine hole competition was a Stroke event. Keith Baker was the winner with a nett score 32 ½ from Gary Lafferty 33 ½.

A good field of 36 players competed at last Saturday’s Stableford event.

Winner of of A Grade was Troy Stephens with 43 points.There was a four-way count back to award the runners up, which went to Jack Davis on 41 points.

 

The B Grade winner with an excellent score of 45 points was Rick Bailey ahead of Simon Gill on 43.
