From The Tee – 13/05/2017

There were perfect weather conditions for golf at last Saturday’s Stableford event at the Camperdown Golf Club.

Algie White was the winner of A Grade with a fantastic score of 44 points, from Tom Moran on 43. Both Algie and Tom parred the course.

The B Grade winner on 39 points was a guest from Terang, Craig Longmore in a four way count back from Tony Cronin, Rick Carr and Andrew Benallack all on 39 Stableford points.

This Saturday is the annual 4 person Ambrose event as part of the Robert Burns Scottish festival.

Mark Kent claimed another Monthly Medal and privilege pot at last Saturday’s 18 hole Stroke event. Mark finished with 80-12-68 to take out A Grade from Algie White on 79-8-71.
Winner of B Grade was Richard Narik 90-17-73 on count back from Mark Clissold on 93-20-73.

second to 7th Brian Fitzgerald
9th Mark Clissold
15th Mark Kent
17th Troy Stephens.
Rick Bailey managed a Birdie on the Birdie hole 2nd.
The day also included a putting competition where Tom Moran finished with 26 putts, and Keith Baker had the longest putt on the 18th.
Balls down the line required a nett score of 74 or less: Mark Kent 68, Algie White, Tom Moran, Nick Lillie 71, Simon Baker, Liam Lafferty 72, Richard Narik, Mark Clissold 73, Darren Cheeseman, Rick Bailey, Dale Evans, John O’Donohue 74.
A Par event was run at last Thursday’s nine hole competition in challenging weather. Tony Nichols was the winner with +1 from Tom Clissold on square. Nearest to Pins: 15th Tony Nichols, 17th Tom Clissold.
This week is a Stableford event.

Beautiful weather and great course conditions where available at last Saturday’s 18 hole Stableford event. Winner on the was Peter Skene with 41 points from Keith Baker on 40.

9th Dale Evans, 15th Keith Baker,
17th Tom Moran.
The Birdie hole this week was the 1st, where Tom Moran managed a Birdie.

Balls down the line required 37 points or more, Peter Skene 41, Keith Baker, Jeff Collins 40, Darren Frost, Algie White, Tom Moran 39, Peter Hughes, Ian Henderson 37.

Peter Skene and Keith Baker were also in good form at last Thursday’s nine hole Stableford event returning 20 and 19 points respectively. Peter was also the nearest to the pin on the 2nd.

Members are reminded of the upcoming 4 person Ambrose event as part of the Robert Burns festival, and to arrange a team.

This week’s event is the May Monthly Medal and privilege pot.

John O’Donohue had a fantastic score of 88-26-62 to take out last Saturday’s 18 hole Stroke event. Runner up on the day was Gary Lafferty with 77-13-65.

The Birdie hole this week was the 18th where Jack Kerr and Nick Lillie managed a Birdie.

Balls down the line required a nett score of 70 or less, John O’Donohue 62, Gary Lafferty 65, Nick Lillie 66, Peter Hughes 67, Mark Kent, Brian Fitzgerald, Tom Moran, Jack Kerr 70.

Last Thursday’s nine hole competition was a Stableford event where Brian Fitzgerald won by countback from Gary Lafferty, both finishing with 22 points.
